Dr Sumathi Nagesh is Assistant Professor- Senior Scale at the Department of Liberal Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at Manipal University, Bengaluru Campus. She has a PhD from the Centre for Women’s Studies at the University of Hyderabad on Gender and Performance Studies. Her teaching philosophy is student-centric and experiential, using theatre pedagogy to make learning interactive and transformative. She has helped establish Women’s Cells in academic spaces and currently serves as Coordinator of the Centre for Gender Education and Research at MAHE Bengaluru, advancing gender-just education and intercultural dialogue.
