
Kathiravan Annamalai is a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of English at Pondicherry University. His research interests include theatre, social movements, and subaltern literature. A translator working between Tamil and English, he has translated Bama and Imayam into English, and Langston Hughes and George Orwell into Tamil. His work has appeared in
South Asia: Journal of South Asian Studies, Journal of Graphic Novels and Comics, Indian Literature, Muse India, Cha: An Asian Literary Journal, and The Hooghly Review. He is also a screenwriter, with credits including A Fly (2023), Yaazhi (2025), and The Tales of the Ukulele Man (2026).
